If you want to work with a designer, then do it, but don’t hand them your finished product and ask them to make it pretty. Make them a part of the process and have them help identify the right UI/UX for the application.

Dear Dropbox,
I didn’t forget about you and I don’t need a refresher course. I just needed you to work that one time that you didn’t.
It’s not me, it’s you.

Michael Johnson, of the graphic design firm Johnson Banks, spends a lot of time traveling to Japan. Nonetheless, he still can’t read the language. It drives him crazy. So they’ve responded with a brilliant design: A hybrid Japanese/English typeface, in which Katakana syllables are embedded with phonetic pronunciations. It’s called, naturally, Phonetikana. The Nic Cage/Tim Burton ‘Superman’ Film That Never Was
Remember when Nicolas Cage was cast to play Superman in Tim Burton’s ‘Superman’ film? (Probably not.) It was a dark time for comic book movies, and thankfully that film never came to fruition. It doesn’t matter that Tim Burton was directing, or that Kevin Smith wrote the screenplay. All of these people seperately can make quality films, but together it would have been a cluster-fuck of a ‘Superman’ film. This costume is fugly and in the film it would have been silver and black and the S on Superman’s chest would have broken apart into swords (I shit you not). Oh, I also forgot to mention that Tim Allen was cast as the villain Brainiac. Just let all of this sink in for a moment and breathe a sigh of relief this film never happened.
Test pictures have leaked of Nic Cage dressed as Superman and it’s about time these photos have leaked because the movie-going public needs to know “What could have happened”.
The Tim Burton ‘Superman’ fulm was set to start production in 1999, but fell apart after Warner Bros. poured tons of money into the film, which was eventually deemed to dark for a ‘Superman’ film (since he died in the end of it).
When people bitch about ‘Superman Returns’ being a bad film (which it wasn’t) all you have to say is at least Nic Cage as Superman in a Tim Burton directed film never happened.
